All right, ringers, I’m going to say it…
I don’t like that they messed with the order of the lines in song of the lonely mountain. The new version is kick-ass, but I keep wanting to sing “we must away ere break of day” and it throws me off.

What do y’all think of Tauriel?
I have mixed feelings about her. The thought of an original character kind of gives me a pit in my stomach, but if you think about the Mirkwood section, it’s not very specific at all. In a movie, when there’s no choice but to zoom in on the action, you need to give faces to some no-name characters. I feel like she’ll be a character that somehow tells us a lot about her culture.
What are your thoughts?
